Thoracic Oncology Laboratory

Welcome!

The Thoracic Oncology Laboratory at the University of Minnesota, part of a joint effort from the Division of Thoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine, comprises an active, interdisciplinary team of scientists, thoracic surgeons, and medical oncologists, all working on behalf of patients with lung cancer.  Together, using advanced molecular technologies, we plan to unravel the story of how this deadly cancer develops and to pursue novel therapeutic approaches.  Our collaborative efforts are primarily directed at elucidating the mechanisms of tumorigenesis, gaining insight into molecular tumor profiling, and probing the significance of micrometastasis in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,

Jonathan D'Cunha, M.D., Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Surgery
Division of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery
