Department of Surgery Research Day

Hosted by the Research Advisory Council, the Research Day Poster Session is a showcase of the research efforts throughout the department.

Resident Research Day Presenter

The Research Advisory Council will be hosting the 2018 Surgery Research Day from 7-9am on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Similar to last year, this poster session will be held on the 11th floor of PWB & Moos Tower, in place of Grand Rounds, so we hope that will make it very convenient for people to attend.

All faculty, residents, staff (including post docs, fellows, scientists, etc) and students in the Department of Surgery are invited to submit an abstract. Abstracts recently presented at meetings are encouraged.   Please email a copy of your abstract along with the name and contact information of the presenting author to  to reserve your space.  Abstracts should be submitted by Friday, May 4, 2018.

All poster presenters are expected to be available during the session to answer questions regarding their research.  This is an excellent opportunity to hear more about the research being conducted by your colleagues. Judges from around the University will be evaluating the posters and best poster presentations in various categories will be announced at 8:45 am. The winners will be invited to speak during the Research Presentations after Grand Rounds, as part of DOS Graduation Day on June 12.
